I have been a hairstylist since 2004, and have always been looking for new ways to express my creative side. One day I was looking for ways to decorate a room in my apartment, and settled on making my own macrame wallhanging. Several months later, I started looking up how to make different knots, and drew inspiration from Instagram, YouTube, and Etsy. I quickly fell in love and became addicted. Around the same time, I was diagnosed with Keratoconus, a disease in which the cornea progressively thins over time. It has affected my eyesight and can cause a person to become legally blind if not treated. Since health insurance does not cover the newly FDA approved treatment, I decided to offset the cost by doing what I love: making macrame art in my free time.
